  • Our First Day Back to School

All fear and worry and wonder in vain! Yay! Our first day back at school was fantastic!

We started with a prayer that God bless our days and help us to listen and learn what he wanted. Then we have our “loyalty oath” on the American flag and Christian flag. We still have two flags, so I took pictures of them online and had children say that their promises to the computer!

So we all sat in the “school” on the table and began Bible. The oldest, third-degree, went to his own book to work, while the three youngest children had a ‘classroom’ style period. The two most recent hearing in the history section and answer the questions orally, while the second graders wrote their answers, and as little extra work for the youngest two were rejected.

I think I like this style a lot. I feel more like a family to do in such a way as teaching each of them separately. Even with the language we all play with clay and create letters and things beginning with those letters. Then we divided into appropriate levels of quality to work with the book.

I must admit that there was and bustle of the day, because all four children have their own books, all at the same time. I may need to change a bit in the coming weeks. Was done by language, we took a snack break. Nothing big but enough for hungry stomachs at bay until lunch rolled around.

We started with math, even a little hectic, but to do good, there’s a lot of math to work independently with addition and subtraction problems. The children completed their math time for lunch and even had a little time to play before I had finished preparing. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch, knowing that only a few items left to finish the day.

The older two had history and geography, science and Greek after lunch. She ended it pretty quickly, and then their job before we go to my parents’ house for a Labor Day celebration dinner!

All in all a great day and a good start to our homeschool year! I am so happy to go!

I would be “the first day back to school” as your told! Tell me about it in the comments box below!
