Homeschooling Story
I am a homeschooling mother of five children, with a passion for knitting and crocheting and get healthy.
Trust in God is never an easy thing to do. But it can be very rewarding. I’m trying to remember that he knows what is best for me better than I do.
So you keep in mind, here is my story.
It starts in elementary school when I was a young girl at a Christian school. I have divine parents who always want the best for their children, so if they feel that my skills were quickly started on the road to the south, they wanted to help in any way they could.
My father suggested that my mother homeschooling them try me. Homeschooling is great now, but if there are very few people do. So my mother was a little scared, but she prayed and decided to trust in God and try it.
Not only were my characters better, so I was finally, and a student, I grew closer to my parents and have a special relationship with them that many children do not share with their parents.
When I went, and ripened by the university to get a large number because of my disciplined parents in their upbringing, I saw the tremendous value that home schooling was in my life. I opted for my children, to show that I ever had.
A few years later I got a very nice man married and we have tried to have kids. It took a few years to try for our first child, and in that time I had to trust in God again that he is the perfect time in my life. It was not easy, because I thought that I might not be blessed with children started.
When I trust in God, he gave a blessing in my life …. five times …. In a very short time! The age gap between my oldest and my youngest is only 8 years. I enjoy each of them with all their different personalities. But the closeness of the pregnancies took a real toll on my body. I ended up with diastasis, a separation of the abdominal muscles and my body was weak, exhausted and repaired.
Worn as a homeschooling parent is not a good state to be in. homeschooling is wonderful, but it takes time and patience and understanding. And that requires energy.
After my last child, I decided that I was “tired, tired.” I had to change how I lived. I needed a way to make more energy available. Even here God’s timing was perfect. I was prepared for surgery, to repair my diastasis repair, so I could practice. But then I learned that I can use the exercise to determine the separation!
As a busy mother of five children, it is not easy to find time to exercise. I pulled in many different directions all the time. But this time is so important because it allows me the energy and focus and calm so necessary as a mother.
So now I am a full time mother and homeschooler who wants to live healthy so I can enjoy every precious moment with my family.
If you are thinking from homeschooling, here are some useful tips to consider:
1) Make sure that you have a curriculum that at least the essentials, such as mathematics and language. You do not need a prepared curriculum. You can do something that you do yourself. Make sure you learn the basics.
To work 2) a record of your child. This ensures that if for any reason, regardless of your child’s education, you can prove that they learn actively. It might be interesting to look back on, when your child to improve in certain areas.
3) Adjust your teaching to meet the needs of your children. All children are different and therefore they should be taught differently, too. Some children learn better with written work. Others learn more by things verbally. One of my children are very tactile and learn best by touching. Turn it on to see which style is best for your child.
4) Be creative! Remember that one of the great advantages of homeschooling, the ability to perceive things as a rule is not to do in a normal classroom situation found. They go on numerous trips. If you can not afford to go only to a local park or even your own backyard. Go for example, if you learn about plants outside and let your children get a couple of leaves and grass to dig at the roots to see. They recognize the different parts of the plant, while the child is actually in the possession of the plant in their hands! So for those of your children who learn best by writing, she published an article on what they have learned. For those who learn visually, they pull the plant and identify the various components.
5) Enjoy! Homeschooling year is fleeting, and before you know it, they will be gone. Treasure these precious moments with your children, how they train to be successful and well-rounded adults.
