  • How can I Teach My Kids : The Best Way (2)

In my recent article on how I teach my kids, I discussed the first secret to share with mostly homeschoolers. Homeschoolers need a foundation that reflects their religious beliefs and adopt. In this article I discuss the importance of using books, classics in all subjects. Books Living with a real message is the best way to homeschool your children.

    Secret # 2: Books

    My children laugh at him.

    I love reading.

    I love literature.

    I love books.

I want to use more books than textbooks. If there is a good book to teach a particular subject, I encourage you to use instead of a manual.

I was a public school teacher for six years and have always wanted class sets of books we read together and discuss. A set of textbooks costs money and I never had these groups of classes of books.

At the beginning of homeschooling my children, good books are something very important to me.

We started homeschooling in the Paleozoic, the third and fifth years. So we started with some classics to read at this age. I loved the literature, because I have not read all these books anymore. I was not even a player when I was little.

I was an avid reader now. In fact, my family teases me when we go on holiday, and I am the bag. Steve looks at me and said, “You take all those”.

I reply: “Last year we went for 2 weeks, and I read four books that I have enough to move forward ..”

I would not go into a bookstore and buy new. Last year we went to Costa Rica, and I was not going to do something in Spanish now. The books are just fantastic.

In homeschooling, we try to hit all of our language arts books. Throughout our history, government, and even science and mathematics is in books.

You can tell him: “You can use regular books for mathematics.”

    “Yes, I want!”

When I head circumference and the Round Table found Sir, I thought it was the best story. What is very cool about it? He teaches a math concept through the story of a knight, her maid and her young son. You probably thought you could only use textbooks to teach mathematics. Not necessarily! You can use real stories to mathematical concepts such as geometry, the position of circles Pygathorean or concepts to teach.

Outside mathematics, you should read the literature and history books with your child. This includes the reading of the reading time and individual reading level of your child. When reading books with your children, be sure to write and talk about what you read. I’ll address in another article.
